Getting started
- Open Seekframe and drop a folder on its window, or click Choose Folder….
- Seekframe starts indexing at once; the bottom of the sidebar shows how far it is and about how long is left. You can search right away — results grow as it works.
- Type what you remember:

. Describe what is in the picture rather than a file name.

Questions
A result says the drive isn't connected.
The file is on an external or network drive that isn't plugged in. Its picture and time still show so you know where it is; connect the drive and the result opens as usual.
Indexing says it's paused while Low Power Mode is on.
Seekframe saves your battery in Low Power Mode. Click Index Anyway under the progress, or turn Low Power Mode off.
Some videos aren't found.
Seekframe indexes the videos macOS can play: MP4, MOV and M4V. MKV, WebM and AVI files are counted in the sidebar but can't be read. The free version indexes up to 10 hours of video; Pro indexes everything.
How do I use the markers in Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve?
Search, then choose Result › Export Markers…. In Final Cut Pro choose File › Import › XML…; in DaVinci Resolve File › Import › Timeline…. You get a timeline with every found moment as a short clip and a marker on the exact frame. The clips point to your original files.
I bought Pro on another Mac.
In the Mac App Store edition, choose Seekframe › Unlock Seekframe Pro… › Restore Purchase.
How do I remove a folder?
Right-click it in the sidebar and choose Remove from Seekframe. Your files stay where they are; Seekframe forgets what it learned about them.
